By the way, dear readers I am off for a 1 week vacation to Las Vegas and Los Angeles from Sept 5th to the 12th. Yeppy !! This time we are sure to visit the Grand Canyon :-)

A Happy Married Life: Me and Toto

8 yrs back I never even in my wildest dreams,I thought would I marry this guy who came to me with a box of mango toffees saying it was his birthday.

Have you ever loved someone unconditionally, selflessly who loves you totally and then at the same time feels like you could kick his ass? Been totally been taken care and protected and at the same time gone through that stubborness. Well, this coming week,Toto and me are celebrating 3 yrs of marriage bliss and I am so glad we did get married.


I read good blogs on relationships either it be, love, dating, marriage. I always advice my cousins especially Tweety, dont ever take your partner for granted. Thats the golden rule of married life. I always try to appreciate whatever Toto does to me and my family and he in turn does it for the things I do for him. The past 8 yrs have been wonderful and we are glad we always work to make our relationship worth fighting for.

10$ weekend

What did I do for Independence day weekend??
I visited NY .

What did I do in NY:
It was a fun ,economical trip

So what did Toto and me do?

First we thought we will do some local sightseeing near to MA. Luckily I found a 10$ deal on lastminutetravel and we just checked in for July 3rd night.
4 star Hotel for 10$. So we packed bags and drove off to NY on the morning of June3rd. Traffic was bad as predicted and we headed to a parking space near to the hotel around 12 p.m

Next step,purchased a subway ticket .1-Day Fun Pass for 8.25 each so the price for both is around 17$ .But you could travel unlimited using the subway all through the day.

So we boarded the subway and reached Lexington Square to the Dosa cart at Washington Square Park. Yummy Dosas !! I am a big follower of yelp.com and found this dosa place online. Due to my liking to Anthony bourdain travel show,and how he loves to eat at the roadside carts I always try to explore if such kind of food is available in the US too which is unspotted but can be relished .

Thiru the vendy guy ,also called the Dosa guy was owner of this place and he made fresh masala dosas for me and Toto. So lunch was over with 10$.Tummies filled with Yummy dosas.Then we started exploring. Our next stop was Brooklyn bridge.

We walked over to Brooklyn bridge did the "Kal Ho Na Ho " poses. Toto gave his camera some work like trying to shoot pics of me in the most awkward poses. Smile..Smile properly

As part of our plan, we were almost tired out by the time we walked back from Brooklyn bridge and back to the subway. Whats the POA now? We checked in to our hotel.

For a 10$ lastminute hotel deal(tax included),I think this is pretty decent.You could check pictures of the hotel we stayed here. Well,the parking did cost us 25$ for 24 hr.Atleast the car is safe.

We checked in the hotel and refreshed ourselves.Dinner was ofcourse at my favorite Malaysian place. Jaya restaurant in Chinatown.
Dinner was awesome,I had wine and Toto had a couple of beers with the Roti Kanai and Satay. Deliciousy. We had fried rice and noodles for entrees and our stomachs were filled by then.
Legs were aching even though we wanted to hit a nightclub. So we decided to go back to the hotel and have a good nights sleep.

Tuesday morning,July4th ,we woke up late and checked out of the hotel.Parked the car near to the place where we might head to watch the fireworks. It was shopping day..July 4th sale and I was let loose in NY to shop. What did I buy?

1. 2 Bolero knits 0black and white to wear on sleeveless dresses.(I dare not expose my sleeves and thinny arms).
2. Home knick knacks and an umbrella for Toto.
3. Visit to my favorite store,Forever 21 where I got a blackskirt for 9$ and a top for 10$.I love forever 21.Affordable prices for girls like me.
4. A COACH duplicate bag
5.Icecream

We ended the visit seeing the fireworks by the Hudson river and drove back home. zzzz in the car and by the time we reached home it was july5th,2.00 a.m.

Life is full of pricks

I was hesitating to write this but nevertheless,i have decided to go ahead and do the bad deed.

I have deleted my earlierblog link due to some reason which I have mentioned earlier.So here goes a bit of the dumbest conversation between Mrs.X and Mrs.Y( yours truly). Mrs Y has the habit of writing down some travel posts and she feels Mrs.X always tries to copy her.(just a feeling)
Mrs.X even doesnt hesitate to visit the same favorite eaterys and dining places which Mrs.Y has visited.

Mrs X: ( as usual on Mondays general monotonous question) How was your weekend??

Mrs.Y :Thats a nice display picture.If my guess is right,it was shot here and here ( Yours truly has mentioned in one of her earlier posts in her blog abt the particular place)

Mrs X: Bingo you are right !! ( with my own self discovered research as if she has won a greencard lottery).How was your weekend?

Mrs.Y: what the f@#$%? You have read my blog and you know I have been to that place and you didnt even have minimum courtesy to acknowledge the fact that "Yes, I have read your post and I have been here.I really liked it or whatever"

So at this point Mrs.Y doesnt know what to do.Should she say "Oh yeah ,I have been here, I think I have mentioned in my blogs" or just be like whatever,I know that you know I have been there,done that.
